Website Use

Terms & Conditions

These terms govern access to the Lake Comedo website, account features, participant application process, and business inquiry forms.

Last updated: August 17, 2026

1. Acceptance and eligibility

Lake Comedo is operated by EAES Inc. and represented commercially by Hyperface LLC.

By accessing or using this website, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the site or submit information.

You must be at least 18 years old to create a participant account or submit a transformation application. You must provide accurate information and have authority to submit any information, images, or business inquiry you provide.

2. Accounts and security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for activity under your account. Notify Lake Comedo promptly if you believe an account has been accessed without permission.

We may suspend or restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate misuse, comply with law, or preserve the integrity of the application and production process.

3. Applications and participant selection

Submitting a survey or application does not guarantee selection, treatment, filming, publication, compensation, travel reimbursement, or any other benefit. Lake Comedo may evaluate editorial fit, production capacity, availability, safety, professional suitability, and other legitimate criteria.

Application information is preliminary. Selected applicants may be asked for additional screening, professional review, identity or age confirmation, and separate treatment, photography, filming, release, and participation documents before any appointment or publication.

You may withdraw from the application process by contacting us. Any effect of withdrawal after services, filming, or publication begins will be governed by the separate agreements signed for that activity.

4. No medical advice or treatment relationship

Website content, surveys, application questions, videos, and communications are for documentary, informational, casting, and administrative purposes. They are not medical advice, diagnosis, emergency guidance, or a substitute for care from a qualified healthcare professional.

Creating an account or applying does not establish a clinician-patient relationship. Any treatment offered to a selected participant will require separate assessment and informed consent by the responsible professional. Seek urgent medical help for emergencies or serious symptoms.

5. Your submissions

You retain ownership of materials you submit through an application or inquiry. You grant Lake Comedo a limited right to host, store, copy, review, and share those materials with authorized personnel and providers solely to operate the site, evaluate the submission, communicate with you, and administer the process described at collection.

Application photos and information will not be published merely because they were submitted. Publication, advertising, sponsor use, or broader content rights require a separate release or agreement.

Do not submit unlawful, deceptive, infringing, malicious, or harmful content, or information about another person without proper authority.

6. Lake Comedo content

The site design, text, branding, graphics, and other Lake Comedo materials are owned by or licensed to Lake Comedo and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may use the site for personal, non-commercial purposes but may not reproduce, scrape, modify, republish, sell, or exploit its content without written permission.

Lake Comedo names, logos, and visual identity may not be used to imply endorsement or affiliation.

7. Acceptable use

You may not interfere with the site, bypass access controls, probe for vulnerabilities, automate abusive requests, upload malware, impersonate others, collect other users' data, misuse contact forms, or use the service for unlawful or fraudulent purposes.

8. Mailing lists and brand inquiries

Mailing-list enrollment authorizes Lake Comedo to send launch news and project updates until you unsubscribe. Transactional account and application messages may still be sent when necessary to provide requested services.

A brand inquiry begins a discussion only. It does not create exclusivity, confidentiality, a sponsorship, or any binding commercial obligation. Any partnership must be documented in a separate written agreement signed by authorized parties.

9. Third-party services and links

The site relies on or links to third-party services such as Firebase, Google, Meta, Resend, and YouTube. We do not control third-party sites, availability, content, or terms and are not responsible for them except as required by applicable law.

10. Availability and disclaimers

The site is provided on an “as available” basis. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features and cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable consumer and data-protection rights.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Lake Comedo and its operators, team members, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising solely from use of or inability to use this website. Separate treatment, filming, production, sponsorship, or participant agreements may contain different risk allocations.

12. Changes, disputes, and contact

We may update these terms by posting a revised version and date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms to the extent permitted by law.

The governing-law and venue provisions will be finalized after professional legal review. Until then, applicable mandatory laws remain unaffected, and the parties should first attempt to resolve website-related concerns in good faith.
